October 21 2007 ~ We have been to Manar Park 5 times over the last few years & just love the variety of tracks they have to offer. We were back there in the September 2007 school holidays for a week and really didn't want to go home. We had a powered site up the front, on the grass under an incredible fig tree ~ it just didn't get any better than that! Manar is under new management ~ Kel or Jackie and their respective families will look after you and make sure you have a great time. Dogs on leads are welcome (just keep them away from the chooks!). Manar caters for Bikes, Quads, ATV's & 4wd's. There's plenty of room for everyone. While we were there the Qld Quad Riders Club set up for a weekend and it sounds like they had a great time too. Check out our forum to have a chat with "Huge" ~ one of the guys in their club. They have a couple of kick-ass free-style ramps ~ just MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE DISTANCE before you jump them cause they are moveable!
Manar Park has several camp grounds, so its bring you own accommodation, tent, caravan, camper trailer, or onsite cabins; its your choice. The main camp ground has a full amenities block with donkey hot water and septic toilets. There are several powered cabins and a separate camping ground for trail bike riders closer to the park entrance and the motocross tracks. You will even find some powered camp sites at the front camp ~ so it's luxury all the way!! Bring your own water; however there is a shop with convenience items & limited spares, including some riding gear ~ just in case those goggles got left behind again!
Trail bikes currently have SOLE use of over 300 km of one way loops covering 13,000 acres. These tracks include steep hill climbs, jumps and MX tracks. There are tracks that cater for all levels of rider experience and include Pee Wee, Moto-cross and Novice Endurance tracks. I guarantee you will need to go back quite a few times before you can hope to get through all the tracks.
Manar Park has extensive four-wheel-drive tracks throughout
the property. Four Wheel Drivers currently have the use of over 140 km of bush tracks in a 2000 acre area. No bikes share these tracks except for Track 13 which is open to allow access for all to the river but a lower speed limit is applied.
These tracks range from easy to extreme level of difficulty. The park map has these gradings and a description of each track so you are always in control of what type of driving you tackle.
Just about everything you can think off from fishing to horse riding. However because of the drought many of the regular activities are on hold, including access to the Boyne River.
